So who's in charge here?
Kitty Heard (Director of Harmonics Glee Club) is an experienced vocal coach and choir conductor whose day job involves working with schools - the rest of her time is spent working on Harmonics Glee Club. She is joined every week by Assistant Director Ross Heard. Both have an enhanced DBS clearance and follow the national safeguarding practice policies.
Kitty and Ross bring their own brand of nutty enthusiasm to Harmonics Glee Club and are very proud of the little musical community that has been created around their awesome group of young people.

We want you to have a great time and enjoy being in the group, so here are the rules you are agreeing to as a member of Harmonics Glee Club before we'll take you on as a new gleek – there’s not that many but they are all important:
THE RULES OF HARMONICS GLEE CLUB (Sept 2021)
* Please note that we reserve the right to ask a Gleek to leave the group if they persistently break the rules. Parents / Carers and the gleek in question will be spoken to discreetly before any further action is taken. Please be aware that this decision has not been made lightly but we need to consider what is best for everyone in the group whilst they are under our care and responsibility.
See? Told you we didn't have many rules...
THE RULES OF HARMONICS GLEE CLUB (Sept 2021)
- Nobody is perfect and we all hit a bum note from time to time; just have a giggle and get over it there is no shame in this dojo!
- There is a time and a place for jokes and messing about – it’s called ‘The Break’ – but the rest of the time we focus on what we’re rehearsing, it’s still going to be fun! Any gleek who persistently disrupts rehearsals or brings the group morale down will be asked to ‘take a break’ from the club for a few weeks so they can take some time out to think about whether they really want to be in Harmonics or not *.
- We work as a team and every member is important, so if you can’t make the odd rehearsal please let us know beforehand so that you can be replaced with a cardboard cut-out for the evening (well, not really...but you get the idea).
- Your voice is as good as anyone else’s, so if you want to have a try at a solo talk to Kitty and she’ll find you something that really shows off your voice.
- Always have a positive attitude towards what we are doing - you may not like every song we sing, but it is all part and parcel of being in a team. You are more than welcome to put song suggestions forward, and if they’re age-appropriate we can try them out!
- Our £16 membership fee is payable at the start of the month so that we can cover rent, and bank transfer details will be provided on your membership form. You will not be reimbursed for any missed rehearsals, so please make sure you turn up and get your money's worth.
